go here We look for canines that are confident, have a high hunt drive, high toy drive, good work ethic, want to work with their human partners and are non-aggressive to people and other animals. This job is not for all canines. It is beneficial to start SAR training while your canine is still a puppy but not required. If you have an older dog, they need to come with basic obedience, be confident around strangers, enjoy running in the woods, and have a good off-lead recall.
